About Me

Knathan HS_edited.png

In my own designs, I focus on the details, celebrate the extraordinary, and maintain an open curiosity. I have led teams in design systems, working with both interaction design, UI components, content, animation and motion. A passion that I'm still growing in  is accessibility design (AX) to ensure all have the opportunity for a great experience. I thrive in collaboration whether on design or cross-functional teams and love to utilize my soft skills to communicate effectively and build teams and projects up to their full potential...and hopefully, even beyond.

Throughout my life, I’ve been drawn to the power of storytelling. Whether through design, song, script, art, or prose–stories connect us in both physical and digital spaces.

One of the earliest memories of a simple, impactful design for me, was discovered while working on my cherished, vintage 1980 Toyota Celica ST with my dad, when I was 18. As we opened the hood, he pointed out a small arrow engraved by the manufacturer—a waymarker for anyone changing a spark plug: Step 1, prop the hood here. Let’s explore together and uncover your own “hood moment” in design.

Feel free to reach out—I’d love to help you tell your story and discover design needs for your business' greatest assets, its user. Or we can chat about music, or I can share my passionate thoughts on why the Mariners are headed to the World Series very soon and why the Sonics should make a comeback.

Check out what some of my co-workers, colleagues and managers have to say about working with me on my LinkedIn page.
